WEDDING TABLESCAPE TRENDS FOR 2013

If you are planning a wedding or thinking about planning a wedding you are probably just like us and want to know what’s hot for 2013!

Let’s talk tabletops and what’s in store for this year.

Green is the color of choice right now. We just love this inspiration board and how they have incorporated so many interesting green shades, patterns and textures. Simply stunning. And how cute is this small burlap sack as a guest favor placed simply on top of the plate? Fill it with whatever you like (we suggest coffee beans, jelly beans, chocolates or as my kids suggest…toys!)

Lights, lights and more lights from big and grand to cute and small! Light sets the mood and makes everything look more beautiful (the flowers, the guests, the food). Our fav from up above…the tea cup candles that you might see at a vintage style wedding (sigh…we love them).

Pretty tables, pretty décor! Most venues don’t offer a lot in terms of table décor for your reception. Bringing in small touches here and there and leaving no tabletop untouched is what it’s all about! We love lace, and we think it is a beautiful solution to tables everywhere. Lace is perfectly suited for weddings anyway, but you can see how it makes tables look thoughtful, beautiful and organized.

Ah yes, the candy table. It has been around for a few years now, but the latest trend is (old crates, shelves) making this table a real statement in the room. Mix in gorgeous flowers, lights, unique pieces, and of course amazing candy and sweets!

Place cards are another hot trend right now. The bride and groom want to assign seats to guests to ensure everyone has a good time. They take the time to think about whom will have a good time with whom and strategically place them together.
